Cohoes Restaurant Closing After Just 10 Months

Durant's at Van Schaick opened up for business this past March. Unfortunately, on January 27th, they will be closing their doors for good.

Owner Tommy Durant, who also runs Signal 33 BBQ in Cohoes, is blaming the nature of seasonal business for the restaurants closure.

Durant said -

“Restaurant work certainly isn’t easy. It takes commitment, creativity, agility, thick skin, and a really good sense of humor to keep it all together,”

If you've never been to Durant's at Van Schaick, the food is said to be "elevated tavern fare" and served a number of different sandwiches, burgers and appetizers on top of entrees like stuffed haddock, Cajun jambalaya and more.

The announcement was made on the restaurants Facebook back on December 1st.

If you would like to give Durant's at Van Schaick a try before they close, they're open Tuesday through Sunday from 11am - 9pm.
