Machine Gun Kelly Says He's 'Not in a Haze Anymore' After Starting Sobriety Journey Machine Gun Kelly reflected on his year of sobriety, sharing his journey and the inspiration behind his commitment to self-improvement.  The musician, born on the 22nd, delved into his quest to master his generational curses and become a better man for his daughter and loved ones.  Kelly emphasized the importance of self-forgiveness and the clarity he gained from sobriety, highlighting his dedication to personal growth and mental health.  "I had to zoom out and take a look at myself from a holistic perspective," he tells PEOPLE at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville on Thursday, September 26. "I was born on the 22nd. Twenty-two is a master number. What am I here to master? I had to ask myself that question," Kelly, born Colson Baker, says.
