Sleep Apnea Detection Is Coming To The Apple Watch

Sleep Apnea Detection Is Coming To The Apple Watch A diagnosis of sleep apnea is coming to the Apple Watch.  At its Monday product announcement, Apple introduced the new functionality for the Apple Watch Series 9, Series 10, and Ultra 2. Sleep apnea causes sleepers to cease breathing. Wearables firms have been working on sleep apnea tracking, with Samsung receiving FDA approval for the Galaxy Watch earlier this year.  Apple watches measure “breathing disturbances” with their accelerometers. The Health app shows nocturnal breathing disturbances. Apple hopes to launch its sleep apnea detection tool with FDA approval in over 150 countries and regions.
