Astonishing Body Cam Video of The Monroe County DA

News 8 WROC YouTube

She was doing 20 mph over the speed limit.

The body cam footage of Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley has been released and it boy oh boy does it make her look bad. Doorley was stopped for doing 55 mph in a 35 mph zone. She was clearly aware that she was speeding because instead of pulling over for the officer, she called the Chief of Police to inform him that she was not a threat and that she would talk to the officer when she got to her house. Again, not pulling over for the officer that was following her.

In the video when the officer asked why she didn't pull over, her response was -

"I didn't feel like stopping on Phillips Road at 5:30."

The officer then replied with -

"That's not your choice. You know that."

The exchange between the officer and Doorley is not a pleasant one. At least not on Doorley's end, anyway. She comes off as very rude and entitled. Telling the officer exactly who she is and why she should not have been stopped. The officer remains calm and very professional throughout the entire video.

Because of Doorley's refusal to pull over on Phillips Road, that lead to another offense on her part. One that's actually cause for arrest.

The officer asked her -

"What do you want us to do, not do our jobs because it's you?"

Doorley responded with -

"No, it’s fine, I said write me a ticket, but I was just saying I was not going to stop on Phillips Road at 5:30,"

The officer then said -

"OK, well, you broke another law because of that, right? You should know better,"

When Doorley said that it was fine and to just write her the ticket, the officer let her know -

"That's not a traffic ticket; that's an arrestable offense, Sandra. You know this."

The entire exchange is a horrible look from the Monroe County D.A.

The full video is below. It's rather lengthy but it is alarming how egotistical Doorley comes across to the officer.

Doorley did release a statement following the release of the footage and seems to have taken responsibility for the incident.
