4/6 11:54pm: North Greenbush Police say Matthew has been located and is safe. They confirmed the news in a Facebook post:
An outstanding end to this long day. Matthew has been found and he is just fine! He was located close to his home.
We can't thank everyone enough for all the help in this case. That includes East Greenbush Police Department, Rensselaer City Police Dept, Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office, New York State Police, Troy Police Department, NYPD, FBI, AMTRAK, CDTA, the Center for Missing & Exploited Children, A Child Is Missing, so many local businesses who helped search their surveillance, Goff Middle School Administration, and probably a few more entities.
North Greenbush Police are searching for a Goff Middle School student who went missing Thursday night. Fourteen year old Matthew Ramos lives at Eagle Rock Apartments, police believe he left sometime in the overnight hours, according to a Facebook post.
Matthew is described as 5'8", 190 pounds and was last known to be wearing a green hoodie that said 'stay sober' on the front. He may also be carrying a black skateboard.
Police are asking anyone with surveillance cameras in the Defreestville, Highland Park or Mansions are to please check their video for any possible sign of Matthew. Friends of Matthew at Goff that may have information on his whereabouts are asked to call North Greenbush Police at 518-283-5323.
