The convenience store chain just acquired 45 more stores

Stewart's Shops just took a major step into New England as they have purchased the Jolley Convenience store chain. The Times Union says Stewarts will take over operations of 45 stores, most located in Vermont with a pair of stores in New Hampshire.

Gary Dake, president of Stewarts said in a statement:

We are thrilled to have this opportunity to acquire a company with such an impressive reputation in a market that we’ve been watching for many years. One of the primary reasons we were drawn to this deal is because of the quality and the character of Jolley’s employees.

Jolley also have five stores in New York State that Stewart's will also take over. For the time being, the acquired stores will continue operating under the Jolley name. The purchase still needs the approval of the feds, which they hope to have completed by the end of the year.
