The hospital opened in 1919 and was shut down in 2003.
The Mary McClellan Hospital in Cambridge, NY opened it's doors in 1919 and was considered a state of the art facility for it's time. In 1923 it added a nursing home to the facility.
During it's time it was considered the most important medical facility in the region. New wings were added in 1966 and in 1983. They also added new nursing facilities in 1971. Unfortunately by the 1990's, the hospital was transferring patients to some of the larger urban hospitals that had specialized technology and equipment. The hospital eventually closed for good in 2003.
