Two different shops, one of them hit three times
An alleged serial robber who targeted the same Stewart's Shop three times has finally been arrested. Watervliet Police took 42 year old Daniel Rosch, a resident of the city, into custody after a lengthy investigation.
Police say Rosch robbed the Stewart's at 2458 2nd Ave three times and also robbed a nearby Stewart's at 2002 2nd Ave. All of the robberies happened between December 2023 and March 2024.
Rosch allegedly wore an oversized coat and concealed his face during each robbery, however police were able to use DNA evidence to connect him to the crimes.
The successful arrest of Rosch is credited to the exceptional efforts and teamwork between the Patrol and Investigations Divisions. They worked diligently, utilizing forensic techniques to establish a conclusive link between Rosch and the robberies. This achievement highlights the dedication and professionalism of the department.
Rosch is facing four felony robbery charges.
