Sex And The City Landmark Getting Harder To See

Fred Prouser

The owner of the Greenwich Village building is trying to protect the property from fans

The owner of the iconic building featured in Sex and the City is seeking permission to install a cast iron gate to deter intrusive fans. The building, located at 66 Perry Street in Greenwich Village, has been a popular tourist spot due to its connection to the show. The owner currently has a chain link barrier in place, but fans often ignore it, leading to disruptive behavior such as graffiti and trespassing. The owner hopes that the iron gate will help protect the property and improve the quality of life for tenants. Sex and the City, which aired from 1998 to 2004, continues to have a loyal following and has spawned movies and a sequel show.
